Each year in the United States some 400,000 pounds of wool is discarded into landfills because there has been no way to consolidate this wool from the widely scattered small farms growing small herds and from the single and spread out groups of 4H and FFA participants’ who grow sheep as their project.
Wool For Worthy Causes has identified this as an opportunity for these specialty growers and 4H and FFA members to instead donate this wool to Wool For Worthy Causes which will collect and consolidate the donations and then donate that wool to state-sponsored and/or charitable organizations which hire disabled workers.These organizations will then provide jobs to disabled workers to sew or process this wool into 100% wool or wool-blend textiles.These textiles will be made
